The Final Destination 4

After three years, The Final Destination is again back, and this time 3D! With more deaths, more accidents and less mercy. If you already watched the movie, then  read the all article, if not then just went down and just read the comments on film, cause i will tell a little bit about the script.

Two friends, Nick O'Bannon (Bobby Campo) and Hunt Wynorski (Nicky Zano) go to McKinley Speedway to watch a car race with their girlfriends Lori Milligan (Shantel VanSanten) and Janet Cunningham (Haley Webb). During the race, at pit stop, a silver car pulls up and as the crew is filling it up, one guy leaves a sharp tool in a hole in the back of the car. One of the crew yells ,"Go! Go!" when everybody else isn't done, but the car speeds off. The tool in the back of the car drops onto the track shortly after. After a lap, a black car with flames printed on the sides runs over the tool, bursting one of the tires. The car soon starts doing cartwheels, sending two of the tires flying. Everyone in the stands jumps to their feet in eagerness as one the tires flies and hits a girl who came with her boyfriend to watch the race, in the head, decapitating her. Then starts lots of accidents, fires, explosions. Everybody who sees this tries to escape and runs to the exit. But sure, nobody can escape from death, everybody dies in the stands.

Do all really die in the stands? Sure no, this is a Final Destination movie! Our guy Nick O'Bannon sees what is waiting for them, so he warns his friends telling that there will be a big accident there, but sure none of his friends believe him. All of a sudden an arguement starts between Nick and a guy sitting in front of them, things get worse and lots of people get into this arguement so they all go outside. At outside everybody asks him what his problem his, Nick says there will be something wrong inside, again nobody believes him, until they hear the sound of an explosion and the screams of people.

Next? A cliche...Whoever Nick saved that day starts to die one by one. Nick and his girlfriend Lori try to save them but of course it doesnt help, like it never helped before in a Final Destination movie.

The Final Destination:waste of time

If you ask my opinion, this movie is not as good as you expect. First of all, the movie is too short, there are so less dialogues. The story and the way how people die is totally same with the other Final Destination movies. In 80 minutes more than 10 people die cause of silly accidents, so you can be sure you will watch a movie without a story and dialogues, which in every 7-8 minutes someone dies.



The only difference is, this movie is 3D unlike the older Final Destination movies, and i think Director knew the lack of dialogues and story, so he could only use this ''3D'' event to advert this movie. You can understand this with just reading the taglines of the movie: On August 28th  prepare for the 3D thrill ride everyone's dying to see, Death Saved The Best For 3D, On August 28th  Death enters a new dimension: 3D, August 28th  3D event  No mercy-No escape-No limits...There are only a few taglines for the movie without mentioning this 3D event.

Sure hard to find taglines for a movie which comes up with nothing new. Like ''Rest in Piece'', but i couldnt rest in peace after i watched the movie, cause i wasted 80 minutes of my life for a meaningless movie (only 5.4 rating from IMBD). Maybe its fans will like it, but i didnt. When you watch the trailer you think it is a cool movie (cause i thought too), but no, trailer is cooler than the movie itself...

The Damned United

A movie about Brian Clough's 44-day reign as the coach of Leeds United

The Damned United is a March 2009(UK) released sports drama film, directed by Tom Hooper and adapted by Peter Morgan from David Peace's novel ''The Damned Utd''. I dont know you watched the movie or not, but i watched. And i can say that, if you like football, you should watch this movie. Is this movie cool like other football movies like Green Street Holigans or Goal series? Well, i think this movie is better than both two, because it is based on a true story (Green Street Holigans also based on true events but The Damned United is much more about football).

The movie is about Brian Clough's 44-day adventure as coach of Leeds United.

In early 70's in England, Leeds United was dominating the leauge, they were the most successful club of the country, and the leauge champions. Their manager was Don Reive. At those times, Brian Clough was the manager of Derby Country, struggling near the bottom of the Second Divison.

In 1967 these two teams match in FA Cup. Brian Clough assumes Dan Revie to be a similar man to himself, owing to the fact that they grew up in the same part of Middlesbrough. However on match day, Revie either ignores Clough or fails to make him out in the crowd upon entering Derby's Baseball Ground stadium. The match proves to be a tough affair, and despite their best efforts Derby lose 2–0 to Leeds. Brian Clough initially blames the brutality of the Leeds players, but he and his assistant manager Peter Taylor recognise that their side simply aren't good enough on a technical level and so remedy the problem by signing veteran Dave Mackay, along with several other young players. The club's frugal chairman, Sam Longson is extremely anxious about the investment and more so the fact that  Clough didn't bother to consult him about signing Mackay. However, Derby win the Second Division title in 1969, and the following season once more face up to Leeds, the defending First Division champions... and promptly lose 5–0.

After this match, Clough targets himself to get in First Division so that they can have a match with Leeds United and take revenge, and be more successful than Dan Reive. Clough gets what he wants, Derby becomes the Second Division champion, promote to First Division and beat Leeds United 2-1 in a league match. Only a few years later, Clough makes his team First Division champions too, by the help of his luck.



Meanwhile, Clough starts to have problems with the chairman of Derby Country, Sam Longson. Longson starts to give directions to Clough about how to manage the team, and despises Clough telling that chairmen are more important than managers in the world of football. After this situtation Clough resignes from his job with his best friend and assistant manager Peter Taylor.

Subsequently, Clough and Taylor are offered jobs as manager and assistant respectively of Brighton & Hove Albion, and they agree to take the jobs after having a holiday in Majorca which Brighton's chairman pays for.
During their holiday England fails to qualify for the 1974 World Cup, England manager Alf Ramsley gets sacked and replaced by Leeds United's successful manager Don Revie. So Leeds board offers Clough to take the place of Don Revie's place at Leeds United, and Clough accepts the job. But Taylor on the other hand, prefers the prospect of Brighton, knowing that whatever Clough achieves at Leeds it will still be with Revie's team, and after a fierce argument the two go their separate ways, with Clough taking over at Leeds and Taylor becoming Brighton manager.

Without his long time assistant, what can make Clough at Leeds? Starting from his first day of his new job, Clough has problems. Leeds players dont respect him, and dont listen him on the pitch. And Leeds makes a terrible start in the leauge...This movie, is about these 44 days that Clough spent in Leeds, of course with flasbacks to his days with Taylor and Derby Country.



I'm not sure all the events in this movie is real or not, first of all it is true that Clough had very successful seasons with Derby United, became Second Division champion and promoted to First Division, became leauge champions and played in European Cup but lost 3-1 to Juventus in semi finals. But i dont think it is totally true that he had personal problems with Dan Reive, and i am not sure he was really jelous of Reive or that Leeds players didnt respect and listen him.

For example Clough's widow, Barbara Clough, who was already an outspoken critic of Peace's book, expressed disappointment that the film was being made. On the implication that it would be similar to the book, she said "It's going to be pretty dire". Nigel Clough (son of Brian Clough), says he has spoken to people within football who have told him the film bears no resemblance to what actually happened. Also The publishers of the novel were successfully sued by Irish midfielder Johnny Giles (played for Leeds in 60s and 70s) wrote, "Many of the things Peace talks about in the book never happened and for that reason, I felt it necessary to go to the Courts to establish that this was fiction based on fact and nothing more."

Who is Tarantino?

Are you a Tarantino fan like me? Maybe, but lets know more about this famous director and scenarist.

Quentin Tarantino was born in Knoxville, Tennessee (US) in 1963, so we can say he is young to be a very famous director and to have serious number of movies. Maybe he got his art skills from his father; because his father, Tony Tarantino was an Italian actor. His mother was Connie McHugh, who got married with a musician called Curt Zastoupil after the born of Quentin Tarantino. After this, Tarantino built a strong relationship with his step father.

At the age of 16, Tarantino left the school to become an actor and joined James Best theatre group. He wrote his first scenario when he was 22, named ''Captain Peachfuzz and Anchovy Bandit''. He also worked as a cashier in 1980's, in a video store called ''Video Archives''. Sounds not fun to work as a cashier right? But no, when he was working in this store, he met with Roger Avary, who he worked with later.

Tarantino was a lucky man, he also met with Lawrence Bender during a Hollywood party, and Bender encouraged Tarantino to write a film script. And the result? Reservoir Dogs! A very good, bloody robbery film!

After the success of Reservoir Dogs, he went to Amsterdam to work on his script for his new movie ''Pulp Fiction''. If you already watched the movie, you know very well why he went to Amsterdam...



His next movie was ''Jackie Brown, which he adapted from a novel of Rum Punch. Then he started to make plans to make a war movie (of course Inglorious Basterds) but he delayed this plan to make a new movie: Kill Bill. For Kill Bill Vol.1 and Kill Bill Vol.2, he worked with Uma Thurman, who he already worked with for the movie Pulp Fiction. But this time, different than Pulp Fiction, Uma Thurman had the leading role in Kill Bill movies, which she acted as a bride who wanted to take revenge from her old boss.

In 2005, he was the ''Special Guest Director'' in Sin City, which he directed a car scene with Clive Owen and Benicio Del Toro. In 2007, he worked as scenarist and director in the ''Death Proof'' part of the movie Grindhouse. And in 2009, he finished what he delayed and made his movie which tells a story happening during second World War: Inglorious Basterds.



I know till now it seemed like a boring biograpy, now lets know something more interesting about Tarantino.

For example, Tarantino never advertise any product in his films. So, when a product is needed to be used, he always found imaginary names for the products, or used products which are old and already are not sold. For example Big Kahuna Burgers in Pulp Fiction.

According to Tarantino, ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'' is the best movie ever made.

He had an argument with Spike Lee because he uses the word ''nigger'' in his movies.

In his films, leading characters usually drive Chevrolet and Cadillac (i dont know why, maybe he made a contract with them).

In his films, you see the characters usually at the door, opening a door or closing a door. Also bags and suitcases take serious part in his movies.

In most of his movies there are scenes, which at least 4 characters point guns at each other at the same time.

In his movies, he likes to zoom in when characters do something with their hands.

In most of his movies, chacaters have nicknames (for example in Pulp Fiction; Honey Bunny and Pumpkin).

In his movies he usually takes a small role (Reservoir Dogs-Mr. Brown, Pulp Fiction-Jimmie Dimmick, Kill Bill-a dead gang member, Jackie Brown-default answering machine voice)

There is usually a toilet scene in his movies. Just remember the scene in Pulp Fiction, poor John Travolta had to die in toilet!

He usually worked with actors like Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction), Harvey Keitel (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction), Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, True Romance).

INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS

Tarantino and his new movie:Inglorious Basterds

Who doesn't like Quentin Tarantino movies? Well, i adore them! And i think everyone who loves cinema and movies like Tarantino, and his way to tell his story. Now, he is again on the stage with his new movie ''Inglourious Bastards'', and of course he again tells his story with famous stars like Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, Diane Kruger.



To be honest, i didnt watch the movie yet, but i would like to tell some about the movie so you can have an opinion before you watch.

First of all, something seems wrong with the movie name, right? Actually, the correct spelling should be ''Inglorious Bastards'', without an extra ''u'' in ''inglourious'', and with an ''a'' instead of ''e'' in the word ''basterds''. They asked about this to Tarantino on The Late Show of David Latterman, and he didnt explain anything about the missing ''u'' in ''inglorious'', but Tarantino said ''Basterds? Thats just the way you say it: Basterds!''. So it is just a spelling way of Tarantino.

Story: During the second World War, in a corner of Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) tries to organize a group which is founded by Jewish soldiers, to retalite against the enemy. Raine's group, known as ''basterds'' by the enemy, takes the mission of damaging Nazi-Germany. With this target, they make a cooperation with a German actress and secret agent called Bridget Von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger). All of them will meet under the roof of a cinema, where Shasoanna makes her own plans to take revenge.



Well, as i said i didnt watch the movie yet. But i hear that there are a serious number of people who didnt like the movie, but sure there are more who liked. IMDB gave a rating of 8.7 to the movie, and now it is the most searched movie in internet (info taken from http://www.imdb.com/chart/2000s?mode=popular). When i watch the movie, i will tell you more!
